Experience the Ultimate Surround Sound System

A home movie theater with chaise lounge seating, a large movie screen, and a Sony projector.

The Latest Technology Creates a Blanket of 3D Audio

Interest in custom home theaters has grown exponentially over the past few years. And for a good reason! Our clients want to experience the same high-performance images and sound that the best movie cinemas in Seattle, WA, offer - only in the comfort of their homes. The good news is, today, that’s possible.

The best brands offer an immersive cinematic experience. Handcrafted movie screens and the latest native 4K laser projectors deliver breathtaking, lifelike images that take the viewer to the center of the scene, whether climbing the Alps or racing through city streets.

But to experience the ultimate realism that suspends one's disbelief for a few hours requires the latest surround sound system. Let’s look at what these systems offer and the benefits they bring to homeowners looking for the ultimate entertainment.

The 3D Sound Field

Dolby Atmos made its debut in 2012 with the release of Disney-Pixar’s Brave. Within a few years, it became available to home theater setups. As more people experienced this incredibly immersive experience in their homes, it grew in popularity. Today, Dolby Atmos is the benchmark for home theater surround sound, and Atmos-enhanced content is everywhere.

Dolby Atmos, like DTS:X, is object-based audio. It allows sound engineers to assign a sound to a place within a 360-degree field, including overhead sounds, which are critical in making this realistic audio. The technology can produce up to 118 simultaneous sound objects, enabling engineers to place each one with pinpoint precision and move them around within the space, creating a 3D soundstage.

You see a helicopter taking off on the screen and hear it as it flies above you. You watch the waves billow and crash, hearing the relentless pounding around and above you.

The Required Technology

This audio format requires ceiling speakers or Atmos-enabled speakers that bounce the sounds off the ceiling. At Elite Automation, we strategically install and calibrate in-wall and in-ceiling speakers and subwoofers designed to deliver this immersive surround sound technology. In some instances, such as rooms with low ceilings, we recommend Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers.

You’ll be able to hear the strategic audio placement whether you have a system with two overhead and five in-wall or floorstanding speakers or 24 speakers surrounding you and 10 in the ceiling.

We’ll tell your Dolby Atmos-enabled A/V receiver how many speakers you have and where they’re located. The receiver then decides which speaker to use from moment to moment to reproduce the sounds of cars racing across the screen or a child running up the stairs. This detailed and precise sound movement results in suspended disbelief, feeling as if what you’re watching is real.

Are you ready to experience the most realistic and immersive entertainment experience available?
